Lots of lists come out at the end of the year - the top songs of the year, best movies, most Tweeted, most Googled... I could make a list of the lists!
But the point is to reflect on the past year. I want you to think about the best things you've learned this year. Write a list of the things you'll always remember from this year so far. You can number the items and see how many you can get!
Good luck! :-)

Non-Fiction Text Features
We've started learning about non-fiction text features. Tell about a time when you were reading that a text feature helped you understand what you were reading.
(Example: When I was reading about where green iguanas lived, there was a map that showed me exactly where they lived.)

End of the Year Advice
Mrs. Gray's class of 2012-2013, you are almost done with the third grade!
As you think back over the course of the year, I'd like you to share a few things with my students for next year. Please number your answers and use complete sentences.
1. What was the most fun part of third grade?
2. What was the most challenging part of third grade?
3. What should incoming third graders know about Mrs. Gray, or third grade in general?
It's been great having all of you in my class this year! I hope you'll keep in touch throughout the years.

Spring Break
It's Spring Break, and I want to hear what you are doing! Keep the class updated of any trips, adventures, visits to friends or family, good books you read, or whatever would be fun to share.
The only thing to remember is that this is still for school, so if you shouldn't write it at school, don't write it here!
